You can use any wood finish you like. We prefer our non-toxic wood finishing oil. But things like, polyurethane, shellac, mod-podge, varnish, linseed oil, tung oil, and lacquer will all work!

Avoid water based finishes, we suggest oil based sealer and wood finishes like our cutting board oil.
