At Scorch Marker, we love our customers! And, we really enjoy seeing and sharing all the wonderful things they create. This week, we talked with crafter Pavel Lau to learn more about his experience with the Scorch Marker. Here's what he had to say. 

What inspired you to start wood burning? Tell us about who or what influenced you, how you got started, and what inspired you.

It can be said that I was my inspiration myself. I've been drawing for 5 years. I was inspired by PIONEER to burn and work with wood 

What is your wood burning setup like? Tell us about the tools you use to create projects. Do you have any favorites?

Like no company reveals its manufacturing processes, patents, and therefore I will not break down the tools I work with. I can only say that some of them are home-made. Your brand was added to my tools and became one of the favorites.

What types of projects do you love to create & what type of projects are you currently working on?

In the near past, I have been carving sculptures and other projects. I am currently getting acquainted with wood burning and trying different types, such as portraits, texts, 3D motifs.

What is your creation process? Is there a process?

First of all, I will project the object as well as the background on which I will implement it and then I will transfer my idea into a real form.

What project are you the most proud of? What did you find challenging or unique about it?

I will not forget this project. It was my first creation in terms of firing. I made a cow and a pig with the division of names in parts of the type of muscle / meat.
